Sponsor A Pet

The pets featured for sponsorship have special requirements that make it difficult to find the right home for them quickly. We will find the right home for them and will love them until that day. Your gift will help cover costs for medication, food and medical care.

Sponsorships are for 6 months. Your credit card will be charged $20 per month for a dog or $15 per month for a cat for 6 months.

You can pick a pet below to sponsor or you can simply sponsor a dog or a cat by clicking the sponsorship button below.

Rodeo

Rodeo is an Australian Cattle Dog or Blue Heeler with outstanding intelligence, which allows him to be adept in training. Like others of his breed and personality, Rodeo is a high energy boy who will need a home where he will constantly be kept mentally and physically active. The staff would love for him to go to a home where he can work (like a farm), or where the owner would be willing to do agility training with him.

Albert

Albert is a Labrador/Rottweiler mix who has been overlooked despite his sweet disposition, like so many other large black dogs. Albert loves to run and has been fondly nicknamed Escape for his speed in exiting the dog run. Like many of our adult dogs, he is ignored because of his age and size.  A smart and loving boy who would make an excellent addition to any active family, Albert will find his forever home eventually. Until then, Albert will stay safe and secure with his friend at the shelter.

Gizmo

Gizmo, an adorable, male tabby, can best be described as sweet and sensitive. If something changes in the volunteer office where Gizmo, Ember, and Daisy reside he likes to hide in the closet for a few days. Gizmo has the most gentle personality when compared to the other office residents and prefers to relax in his bed or be petted by a volunteer. A big, cuddly boy who only asks for love and a comfortable home, surely Gizmo will find a forever home someday.

Max

Max has features resembling a red German Pinscher mix with his red fur and erect, pointed ears. This gorgeous boy has been in foster care for a while now because he had knee surgery, and he may need an operation for his other knee. An extremely loving and playful dog, Max's presence at the shelter is missed by the staff and the dogs that used to play with Max (especially Macey and Baby Girl). Max's personality will charm and delight anyone he meets, so please inquire about our baby in foster care!

Maddie

Maddie is a sweet 8 year old girl with a serious allergy problem.  This loving kitty has several food allergies and needs to eat a special, hypoallergenic diet.  She still has episodes from time to time where she rips out her hair on her back.  She currently is the official “welcome kitty” in our gift shop

Baby Girl

Baby Girl is a Hemingway tri-color cat who was born with six toes and no tail. She was pregnant when she arrived at the Humane Society and had a litter of kittens. Baby Girl watched all of her kittens get adopted, but she is still waiting for her special home. Until that time, she spends her time curled up in her favorite bed in the feline house.

Hound/Labrador Mix Puppies

When these Hound/Labrador mix puppies came to the shelter, they were malnourished and had numerous ticks. Their health was greatly affected by the ticks and malnourishment, which harmed their ability to fight infections. Shortly after the litter was spayed and neutered, a few of the puppies contracted Parvo (a dangerous virus) and Giardia (an intestinal parasite). The staff assigned shifts so that the puppies would have 24 hour attention which was essential with the Parvo virus and their lower immunity. The puppies should not have permanent health issues, but their rough start in life has been quite expensive for the shelter so sponsoring these little angels would be greatly appreciated.
