Rosie is this year’s Trails for Tails mascot. Rosie was at a local animal control facility and had an injury to her back leg. She got a second chance when we had a foster home willing to care for her while she received treatment. Rosie is currently in foster with St. Louis Blues player David Backes and his wife Kelly. She is still a puppy, and we are waiting to see if surgery will be needed to repair her back leg. In the meantime, she is working on becoming a permanent part of the Backes family. You can meet Rosie at Trails for Tails!
For more information or if you are interested in being a Trails for Tails sponsor or vendor, please contact Kim at kim.brown@stcharleshumanesociety.org or (636) 949-9918.

Imagine being left for dead in a ditch, one arm broken, both of your legs broken in several places, the ball of each hip snapped off and nine broken ribs. You can only move by supporting your weight on your good arm and the broken one. These injuries did not happen from an accident, but were done deliberately over a period of time.
Some of our pets have special needs and they need us to give them a little extra love and a little extra time to find their forever home. Now you can help these special ones by sponsoring them while they’re in our care.
You can choose a specific pet to sponsor or just make a six month commitment to help us care for one of our special dogs or cats.
